All Support Group Counselling Centre Thu 11 Apr Break 2 GBL
  Do you have concerns about your eating habits? Does worrying about your weight/appearance interfere with your ability to learn, sleep or socialize? Would you like support to:
- Learn about myths and misunderstanding around eating disorders.
- Explore more about how thoughts and feelings affect your eating behaviours.
- Spot unhealthy habits and working to replace them with healthier ones.
- Developing skills to manage mealtime distress.
- Build self-esteem and self compassion.
Waimea College is offering small group therapy sessions targeted to supporting youth experiencing disordered eating, facilitated by a qualified counsellor. We will meet once a week onsite for 1 hour. The group is open to everyone, any age and gender. If you would like to find out more or register to be part of this group, please come along to the Counselling Centre on Thursday at Break 2.
If you are concerned about your eating habits and would prefer to speak to a counsellor 1:1, please send a confidential message to counselling@waicol or head over to the Counselling Centre and complete a self referral slip to request an appointment.

All Repair with Flair: Clothing Challenge for Students KMC
  Waimea and Nelson Soroptimist clubs and The Nelson Tasman Climate Forum are holding a big event to encourage all of us to be more conscious and environmentally aware when purchasing clothes. This event will be on Saturday 25th May from 11:30am to 3:30pm (the fashion show begins at 1pm) at the PÅ«tangitangi Greenmeadows venue in Stoke.
The challenge is to reuse, restyle, and upmarket to make an entirely different garment to be paraded at the event. Prizes will be given for the most creative, best background story, and best workmanship. See details on noticeboards!
